man it's been a while since i've done a full painting! i wasn't satisfied with the previous "cats-in-armors" sketch, so i have decide to go over the top on this baby. feels like freaking narnia. now i'm all behind on my other homework :\

if you pay attention, i have dedicated something in this painting as a tribute to Thomas Cole's "Course of the Empire" series. can you find it?

Man, this is awesome. I have a tiny complaint about the series of parallel lines across his fur, though. If he didn't seem to have a "pin striped" type of pattern, and had more of a fur texture instead, it would be just that much more amazing.
